Has anyone found a solution to creating an encrypted PDF in a runtime? I have used Affiler in the past, but they are gone, and do not support anything after WinXP. Shubec is also gone as of July. There are plenty of PDF generators around, but all are controlled bu a COM interface. I am NOT a programmer, so this is beyond me.

This isn't a simple solution, but you could use the Scodigo PHP FileMaker Extension AND find a php script that creates PDF files that adds encryption. I don't know if such a php script exists, but it would be the first place to start looking. I hope this helps! Hal Gumbert, CampSoftware |

If not present in FMP, making a encrypted pdf is a standard option in the printing menu of MacOSX. You can register this in a FMP script (AFAIK not the password, which has to be entered by each user). Other tools may work directly in the different flavors of Win, but have to be installed on each user's PC... |
